Veterinary Technician Job Description
Pioneer Animal Hospital needs a capable registered veterinary technician/nurse (preferred) or experienced non-credentialed assistant to join our growing practice. We encourage our technicians to fully utilize their skills and take on responsibility to help with the daily management of our practice. We may be small, but we keep very busy!

Let’s talk about you!
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of veterinary experience required. RVT/CVT/LVT preferred.
- Full-time: 36 to 40+ hours per week.
- Must be well organized, fast-paced, and able to multitask.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
- Must have high caliber veterinary technical skills, including:
- Triage of incoming patients
- Restraint and handling of animals
- Collection, processing, and analyzing lab samples
- Diagnostic imaging
- Management and nursing care of medical of surgical and hospitalized cases
- Administration of medications
- Effective communication of treatment plans
- Surgical preparation and assistance, including anesthetic management

- $15-20/hr based on skills and experience.
