Laser therapy for dogs and cats

What is laser therapy?

MLS/Harmony Laser Therapy is a cutting edge modality for treating pain, inflammation, and swelling and/or for adjunct therapy for many types of wounds. The MLS/Harmony therapy laser system is a class IV laser which combines and synchronizes emission of continuous and pulsed laser emissions with different infrared wavelengths.

Benefits of laser therapy

  • Highly affordable
  • Immediate and specifically directed results
  • Very short treatment times (often less than 10 minutes)
  • No drugs/chemicals involved, including no need for sedation/anesthesia
  • Customizable for each individual patient’s needs
  • Very low likelihood of side-effects

How it works

Continuous laser emissions affect tissue inflammation by stimulating and increasing blood and lymphatic circulation and inducing fast re-absorption of fluid build-up. Pulsed laser emissions have an immediate effect on pain by interfering with the very transmission of the pain impulse to the higher brain centers. These two complimentary treatments not only take place at the same time but reciprocally reinforce each other. Laser therapy is highly effective and offers short treatment times and shortened healing times. Numerous skeletal, muscular, or nervous system disease treatment options are available.
